About Richard Shinto

Currently, Rick Shinto serves as InnovaCare’s Health Plans President and Chief Executive Officer in Puerto Rico. Previously, Shinto was Aveta’s CEO and President between 2008 and 2012. Before joining InnovaCare, Richard Shinto served on the board of management team.

Dr. Shinto has over two decades of experience in operational healthcare on and clinically managed care. Before his way up as Aveta’s CEO, Dr. Shinto worked as California’s Chief Medical Officer of NAMM. Besides, Shinto also served as the Chief Medical Officer of Medical Pathways. After serving as MedPartners’ Corporate Vice President, Dr. Shinto left for California-based Cal Optima Health Plan as its Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Shinto’s career began as a pulmonologist and internist in Southern California.

Besides his profession as a medical officer, Dr. Shinto is an author. He is an author of several clinical medicine and healthcare articles. Dr. Shinto holds a B.S from California University as well as a medical degree from the State University, New York.

Penelope Kokkinides

Penelope Kokkinides is the incumbent Chief Administrative Officer of InnovaCare Health. She rejoined InnovaCare in 2015 after serving as its Chief Operating Officer before. Before joining InnovaCare, Penelope worked at Clinical Operations and Aveta Inc., as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer respectively. Having worked in government health care programs, Medicaid and Medicare, Kokkinides has an extensive experience in the world of healthcare and managed care. Leveraging her extensive background in health care, Penelope Kokkinides is an expert in the development of clinical programs and healthcare models. Throughout her career, Kokkinides has contributed significantly towards the development of processes and infrastructure in the health care sector.

Previously, Penelope Kokkinides was Centerlight HealthCare’s Executive Vice President and Head of Operations. Here, Penelope was in charge of strategic planning and overall management of managed care division. While working at AmeriChoice, a business unit of United Health Group, Kokkinide would oversee operations in the managed care department. Her presence at AmeriChoice is noteworthy as she was instrumental in the development and execution of the organization’s health model.

  1. Additionally, she holds three graduate degrees in liquor and substance mishandle, general wellbeing, and social work. Kokkinides went to Binghamton University to seek after a degree in Classical Languages and Biological Sciences. It gets out of control when the essay writing is done properly by these people and it has caused a lot of confusion.
